Williamsburg, Virginia

We went on our third vacation of the summer to Williamsburg, Virginia. We got to see Colonial Williamsburg, Water Country USA, and the fireworks at Bush Gardens. We had a great time, but since we left Ally at home with Grandma and Grandy we were a little sad and homesick. On the last day the kids were all in the pool and I asked them if they wanted to keep swimming or go home and get Ally and they both said at the same time, "Get Ally!" So we packed up and drove home to see our baby. We really missed her!

She's so sweet, how could you NOT miss her? We saw her one night and loved her to pieces. Elise said next time you leave her, let her stay with us. She said, "Doesn't Aunt Amanda know we would love her more?" I thought it was so sweet.

Elise is such a sweetie. I do know she would love her more, but I know her mom is the busiest woman I know. I can't imagine adding one more thing to your to do list:)

i'm surprised you were able to leave the baby. but, it made it possible for the older kids to enjoy some water sports and 1-on-1 time with mom and dad, so that's fun for them. plus, it's always dangerous around water if you can't have an adult with each non-swimmer, so i don't blame you at all. plus, sounds like the baby got to spend some quality time with family who loves her so much. But, i know what you mean about not wanting to take a family vacation without the whole family: Eric tried to talk me into taking a trip to Washington DC without Mackenzie the other year and i said i'd rather wait to go when she's old enough to walk around rather than leave her behind. i'm like you... i'd miss her too much to enjoy myself after day 1.

How fun! We just got back from Kings Dominion, which was great for kids. Were there plenty of rides for the little ones at Busch? What a cute family!
