Snaggle Tooth

Emmy finally lost her first tooth. She is only a few days away from turning 7 and she lost her very first tooth. Ironically, it was the first tooth that she got in as a baby. I can't hardly stand it. She is growing up way too fast. She lost it when we were in Williamsburg on vacation. We were getting ready to go to Water Country and I told her it was way loose and I hoped it didn't come out while we were at the water park because we might loose it. The next thing I know she has pulled it out. We were so excited. It doesn't take much to entertain us. Unfortunately, the tooth fairy didn't know we were in Virgina so she couldn't come until we got home. And since Emmy didn't sleep in her bed that night she couldn't come then either. Finally, everything lined up last night and she arrived bringing her 3 whole dollars. It was a lot because it was her first tooth. However, I was unaware that the tooth fairy was suppose to write a note (thanks a lot kristen). So I told her that there must have been a lot of kids that the tooth fairy had to visit that night and she didn't have time, but i'm sure next time she would be sure to leave her a note. That was a close one:)

No way! Katie just lost her 5th tooth last week. That's amazing that Emmy has just lost her first one.

Yeah, she's just like me. I always lost my teeth really late. I guess it was such a big deal to us because everyone at school and her cousins have lost so many and she hadn't lost any yet.

I'm so excited about Emmy's tooth!!!! I can't believe she pulled it out herself. Elise is not interested in a stunt like that AT ALL!!! I'm glad the tooth fairy was finally able to track her down! Sorry about the note thing. Elise is really into that. She even leaves the tooth fairy a snack. It is a big deal around this house. :) I saw her at church but not with the cute snaggle-toothed smile. I can't wait to get a better look.

How exciting! Caroline pulled out her first tooth while at school one day. Eric was SO bummed b/c he wanted to do it, so he bribed her with $ to let him pull out her 2nd tooth. Anyhow, I had to laugh about the note thing... the stories i've created to explain all the crazy tooth fairy stories at our house. Waking up in the middle of the night to attend to that is a hard thing to remember to do once you have several kids losing teeth right and left. The tooth fairy is a very unreliable fairy our kids are learning. One time, she left Caroline a coupon to Chick Filet. Eric thought that was absurd, but i thought it was hillarious and Caroline was quite surprised, but thrilled. It's one of those things that you can do however you want. My brother has lots of books about the tooth fairy at his dental practice, which are pretty humorous and tells stories about forgetful toothfairies, etc. so i think dilemmas with the tooth fairy are universal. i'm sure you'll have more funny stories to share over the years. have fun with it!

Way to go Emmy! She is so cute! Baylee has to have the dentist pull hers...too traumatic to do it herself! I didn't know about the tooth fairy's notes, she's never left any here!
