Hip Hopper

Emmy started to take dance this year at Dance Art.  She signed up for hip hop and has been so excited. She had two class before they asked her to join the competition team and she has been so excited ever since.  Her team gets to travel around the state and compete against other dancers in the same categories.  Last weekend was her first performance.  It was a showcase and not an actual competition.  I'm so glad it's over because it was kinda stressful for me to one, watch her perform and pray she didn't mess up (like one girl did durning her solo) and two, get her make up right.  The need to have a lot to be on stage, but then I didn't want her to look like a clown either.

I love her little snaggle tooth grin.  So grown up, not!  She did wonderfully and her first performance is behind us.  Unfortunately, I only took these two pics.  Did I mention I was nervous?  Now we have the actual competitions to look forward to and she has two this month.  I don't know how I'm going to handle that.  And after all, it really is all about me.
