Fort Barnett

This is what my living rooms has looked like almost everyday for the past several months. We refer to it as Fort Barnett. It consist of our arm chairs being turned down and then my kids find all of the furniture they can move and bring it to the living room so they can expand their forts and me having to drape every quilt, throw, and blanket that we own over the furniture.  Then they have to go and find every toy from the upstairs playroom that they have to have in their camp.   Emmy has one and Charles-Allen has one.   And heaven forbid for Ally to decide she wants to visit with one of her siblings at their camp or try to play with the 500 toys they have brought down.  It drives me c-r-a-z-y. I can't bear to look at it. It's so messy and unorganized. But what can you do. It's been to cold to go outside and at least they are playing. However....

can I just tell you how happy I am with the weather we're having today. It's like heaven. They can finally go outside and play. Whohoo!!! And maybe, just maybe my living room won't have to look like this for another 8 months.

Yep, we had one of those at our house too. I made them do it in the sun room, though. But your right, what choice do you have with the weather so terrible and cold? Thank heavens for spring. Much more and I'd have gone berserk.
