Corn Maze?

I took the girls to the local corn maze near our house saturday thinking it would be a fun day. The boys were gone to the Carolina football game and Charles-Allen will be going to the maze on a field trip with his preschool Friday, so it just seemed perfect. We were so disappointed. We've driven by it many times in the years that we've lived up here and my kids always beg to go. I heard it was expensive, but it looked like there was tons to do. Again, I was so disappointed. It was $10 for me to get in and $8 for Emmy. Kids 2 years and under were free. So for nearly twenty dollars we got to wander around, lost in a corn field. And I do mean lost. They couldn't have made it any more complicated if they had tried. It was so boring and being lost scared Emmy to death. I can see it being fun for a group of teenagers trying to get through it together, but that's about it. I mean seriously, I can step out my back door and walk around in a corn field. Better yet, I can go see my parents and ride their gator around in 100 different corn fields and my Daddy will cook dinner for us afterwards. Sorry to be so harsh, but there was nothing else to do. I couldn't believe it. I guess I should have been suspicious when there was hardly anyone else there. Especially since it was a beautiful Saturday and it was Chick-fil-day. Not sure why it was Chick-fil-day, except there was a big cow walking around. Now for $16 more dollars we could have gone on a hay-ride, or for $8 more dollars my 2 girls could have jumped on the two bouncies they had there. Or (and this is my favorite) for $32 more dollars me and my girls could have each gotten a small to medium size pumpkin. And trust me I believe in buying fresh pumpkins, I've already bought 6 this year and they were bigger and cost $8 less than 4 would have cost at this corn maze. So just in case you're looking for something fun to do I would avoid the corn maze, unless you just happen to have a ton of cash lying around that you"re not using.
