Last weekend Emmy had a dance competition in Durham and Neal was out of town in Orlando for the week. So I called up my trusty Dad to see if he wanted to come get Ally and Charles-Allen for the day. He agreed (you must loose your mind as you get older) and so that morning we meet at the Newton Grove exit and we switched off. Charles-Allen and Ally were both excited, but I think Charles-Allen was out of control excited. I had gotten them dressed so pretty, especially Ally. She looked like a pink princess. Her hair was blond and curly. She had the cutest pink outfit on and she even had on her new powder pink Tarheel jacket. When I got her back this is what she looked like.
Unfortunately, the pictures don't do her justice. She looked like my dad had thrown her in the pig pen and she had rooted all day with the hogs. Her beautiful hair was a MESS! And I couldn't decide if she had more snot or dirt on her face. It's anybodies guess. And her pants will never be able to be worn out in public again, unless she goes to Pepa's house. But all that really matters is that she had fun, and she definitely did. My mom let my kids go "shopping" in her shop and Charles-Allen came back with a whole bag full of

That is just too funny. The same thing happens at my parents house. No one is at all concerned about the appearance. But I can't complain. I'm just grateful they'll watch them. :)
