I love this pic from Christmas. This is typical of Neal and me and all of our kids. The tend to treat us like furniture. It really is sweet that they love us so much they can't bear to be away from us, but sometimes I just don't enjoy it. Especially when the day is over and it's almost time to go to bed. We're tired (doesn't Neal look like he's enjoying the snuggle fest as much as Ally is) and I just want to sit and listen to silence. While the kids seem to be getting their second or third wind. So when I came across this quote the other day I thought is was perfect for us.
Parents, remember that now is your opportunity.
You may feel yourself harrasssed as you struggle
through the days with children,
but you are living the happiest
and the most golden years of your life.
As you tuck them into their beds at night,
please be kind to them.
Let them hear a kind voice amid all the
angry, vile voices that they will hear throught life.
Let there be an anchor to which these little ones
can turn when all else fails.
The Lord will help you so to do....

Amanda, this is what I needed to hear today. After a night of one of the twins not wanting to sleep til 2am. Thanks for sharing the beautiful message.
Sheri you're right allus mamas do need to hear it. I hope you feel better soon.
Beth I can't imagine how hard it is with two tiny ones. One is hard enough. I'll keep you in my prayers.
I LOVE that quote Amanda! Thank you for sharing it. I know I sure need to be more patient with my little ones at the end of the day when I am tired and my patience is long gone. It reminds me of that song "You're Gonna Miss This". These really are good times with our sweet little ones.
