Rock A Bye Baby

My mom recently bought Parke a rocking chair and we can't keep her out of it.

She loves to roach back in it and then start fussing because she wants me or her daddy to rock her.

She's a bit high maintenance.

But she sure is cute.

I guess it comes with age and not really caring about impressing people anymore - that mind-set belongs in high school, as far as I can tell. I now tend to seek out people who are good for my soul, and I really think I have a good radar for the attributes I most admire in a person. I think we all tend to weed our garden as we mature. Our families keep us busy and our homes become our sanctuaries. For me, simple pleasures are enough to keep me happy, for the most part, and friends are part of the equation that keeps me balanced and fulfilled.
