Friday Favorites

I've decided to start posting a Friday Favorites because I think it'll be a great way for us to keep up with what our family loves to do. I got the idea from some of the decorating blogs that I love to stalk and thought it would be a great idea for our family blog. If anyone would like to join me I would love to read about what are some of your family's favorite things to do. This week I'm featuring Emmy's favorite thing in the whole world. She has been dreaming of riding a horse for as long as she can remember. She's been able to do it at the State Fair, but even she realized that it was truly riding since you only go around in a circle for about 2 minutes. So in February when we went on vacation to Lake Lure in the mountains of North Carolina we knew that horseback riding would be the one big thing we would do that week. We saved it for the last day and were not disappointed when we got there. Emmy's horse was called Grayson and Charles-Allen rode a horse called Henry. They both LOVED it tons, and when we got in the car and were leaving Emmy said, "Dreams really do come true." WOW! That made Neal and I feel so good. We'll definitely go back and try riding again.
