Thanksgiving 2010

It's Thanksgiving time and we love to cook. The kiddos had a blast making Thanksgiving goodies.

Ally made sweet potato pie. Don't you love how she's wearing her apron and no pants.

Charles-Allen made chocolate chip pie. We love his girly apron.

And Emmy made sweet potato bread. It was so yummy.  All Parker made was a mess.  But she was cute doing it.

Budding Chef

So Parker has been watching her big sisters and brother in the kitchen doing a lot of cooking and she's decided that she wants to give it a try. Unfortunately for me she's not very good at it.
However, she is a good taste tester. She loves tasting all of the food and she doesn't even mind smearing some of it in her hair. Apparently it makes good hair gel.

Faries Live Among Us

I was cleaning the other day and I happened to notice a fairy had landed on my coffee table. She looked a little tired and maybe like a nap would do her a world of good or maybe just her fairy dust had been rubbed off.

I had never seen a fairy before so I thought I would watch her closely for any strange behavior.

Nope, no strange behavior, just really sleepy eyes.

And apparently fairies really like the taste of their fingers. I never knew that about fairies. They sure are cute. I hope she comes back soon.

Halloween 2010

We had a blast this October. It's my favorite month. We went trunk or treating, on a haunted hayride, watched UNC beat ECU, and ate dinner out of a pumpkin. We managed to get through all of our thirty-one days of Halloween crafts and on Halloween night we stayed in and handed out candy. It was so much fun. Parker dressed as a Carolina cheerleader, which she is in real life, and Neal was the official official, which he thinks he is in real life.
,

Ally and her best friend Merry Grace were mischievous and dressed up as a princess, which we know she is in real life, and a cowgirl, also her real life persona. I'm sensing a pattern here. The cuteness is an everyday thing. No special makeup required, so is the mischievousness.
Charles-Allen was a ninja...
and Emmy was a witch while her best friend Elise was a pirate. Very far from who they are in real life.

We love Halloween!!

CAUGHT!!!!

Guess who we caught in our house tonight? Yep, it's Santa. Emmy had wanted us to see if we could set up our computer and snap a
picture of him and we did!!!! He was a good sport and let us keep it. He knows that kids grow up so fast and didn't seem to mind at all. He even left the kids a note telling them what good kids they were and was able to answer Emmy's "sneaky" question about her best friend from school's middle name being Renee. That Santa sure is a smart cookie. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and remembers the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
